Common questions

Are the rates shown actually live?
Yes. We pull data from each provider's public API or calculator every 15 minutes. The "last updated" timestamp on the comparison table shows exactly when we last fetched. Rates can change between when you see them and when you complete a transfer — always confirm on the provider's site before sending.
How do you make money? Is this free?
Rupeeto is completely free to use. We earn a referral commission from providers when you click through and complete a transfer. This never affects the rates shown — we display all providers ranked by best rate for you, not by who pays us more.
Why is the rate different from what the provider shows?
We show the "true cost rate" — this combines the exchange rate margin and transfer fees into a single comparable figure. A provider might show a great exchange rate but charge £10 in fees. We surface the actual INR you receive after everything, so comparisons are fair.
Is my email safe if I sign up for alerts?
We only use your email to send rate alerts you've requested. We never sell or share your email. You can unsubscribe from any alert email with one click. We're GDPR compliant and store UK data only.
